• Photo-Based Sculpture Series

Since 2015, I have sewn 3D paper assemblages and their resulting images from printed photographs I have taken in places I have lived and visited. This work contort our shared, built environments, which are embedded with histories of society-building through cycles of demolition and consumption. I have photographed my sculptures in public spaces and/or manipulated images of them to create new images. In 2022, I deconstructed and reconstructed early paper sculptures to create a large-scale hanging objects. These were recently on view at Satchel Projects in my solo show, Hedges and Ledgers.

  • More Sculptures & Installations

I create sculptures and installations of all sizes often from processes that involve manual and digital approaches. I am especially interested in repurposed, industrial and/or construction-related materials as I view the realm of art-making as one of many interventions in our environmental and am conscious of its role in the consumption-waste cycle. I seek to use forms, textures, methods and colors to address the relationships and intersections between economic and race, systems and individual trauma, collective healing and our surroundings.
